My Approach
One of the aspects of my life that I cherish most, is the way that I am able to capture it with photography.
I am excited to offer you my vision as a photographer and help to preserve the special moments in your life.

I believe that good wedding photography is achieved through timing, positioning and connection with the subject.
Connection is the big one for me. My aim on your wedding day is to become a close friend with a camera. I want to enjoy the time with you and your guests and capture it as we go.

Print Box
For those who want a physical version of their photos this is what I have to offer.
A print box.
Generally in 4x6 or 5x7 inch sizes (although any size can be made) This is an archival cardboard box with a drop front opening and lift off cardboard lid.
This box will contain a selection of prints, I recommend having around 250 of your photos printed, this is a pretty substantial stack that will be a lot of fun to look through. Prints can be made on either standard gloss or lustre card or fine art paper.
Print box orders can take up to an extra 3 weeks to be delivered but wont delay the digital delivery of your photos. If you have ordered a print box it will be posted together with your film negatives and usb drive.

Equipment and Film stock
I use reliable and well maintained late model professional camera equipment. I also bring backup equipment incase of any unexpected issues.
I use fresh/in date Kodak professional film (portra) which is developed and scanned with utmost care by a professional film processing lab.

Digital files from film
The film lab uses high resolution scanning equipment to create 6000x4000 pixel digital scans/jpeg images that you experience the same as if they were made with a digital camera.

Why do I like film
It’s the Aesthetics of it and the fact that it is tangible.
A photo made with a digital camera is a photo made on a computer. A photo made on film is a photo made with nature. Humans are drawn to nature. A film frame is made up of light sensitive microscopic particles of silver and crystal, suspended in a film of gelatine, waiting for the camera shutter to open and let in a moment of light. Each film frame has its own essence, imperfections and beauty just like us. Photos made on film are unique, relatable, exciting and a product of nature and thats why we are drawn to them.
